How We Handle an Insulation Job

Spray Foam Insulation Oshkosh air seals and insulates homes, garages and shops in Oshkosh and the towns around Lake Winnebago, from Neenah and Omro to Fond du Lac, Ripon and Berlin. We spray closed-cell and open-cell foam, blow loose fill into attics and walls, and remove insulation that has gotten wet, moldy or soiled.

The first step is always a visit. We look through the attic, the basement or crawl space and any other spaces you want insulated, and we measure. We note how much insulation is there now and what condition it is in, and we look for the leaks that matter most in a Lake Winnebago winter: the rim joist, attic bypasses around pipes, wires, chimneys and light fixtures, the hatch and the kneewalls of upstairs rooms. Because so much of this area sits on clay soil near the lake and rivers, we pay close attention to basement moisture, and we tell you if water needs to be dealt with before anything gets insulated.

You then get a written quote that lists each area with the material, thickness and R-value. We use foam where sealing and moisture resistance matter most, and loose fill where it gives more for the money. Areas that do not need work are left off.

On the job we cover floors and belongings, ventilate while foam cures and clean up when we finish. We tell you in advance how long to stay out of any sprayed area.
